'GASLIGHT'

by Patrick Hamilton.

March 31st, April 1st, 2nd, 7th & 8th, 2017.

Bella Manningham is more than half convinced that – like her mother who died insane – she, too, is losing her mind. In fact, Jack Manningham is slowly, deliberately driving his wife insane. He has almost succeeded when a former detective, Rough, visits her while her husband is out of the house. Rough believes Manningham to be a maniacal criminal – a thief, and the murderer of a former occupant of the house. Gradually he restores Bella's confidence in herself and, as the evidence unfolds, proves her husband's true identity, and Bella achieves a few moments of sweet revenge for the suffering inflicted on her.

Directed by Bev Nicholas.

'Barefoot in the Park'

by Neil Simon.

October 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st & 22nd, 2016.

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds - Corie is an impulsive, enthusiatic romantic while her husband is a proper and rather stuffy young attorney more involved in his budding legal career than in building their love nest. They get a surprise visit from Corie's loopy mother, Ethel, who Corie tricks into a blind date with their eccentric neighbor, Victor Velasco. Everything that can go wrong, does. Paul questions Corie’s judgment and Corie questions Paul’s sense of romance and adventure and their quarrels escalate until Paul walks barefoot in park in the middle of winter to prove that he is not, after all, a fuddy-duddy.

Directed by Denis Stephenson.
